Jazz club with intimate atmosphere in Milan

The Milan live music scene, up close

Milan is Italy's concert capital: if a major international tour comes to Italy, it almost always comes here. Between Forum di Assago, San Siro and Ippodromo Snai, the big-stage calendar is packed all year round. But reducing Milan to its arenas would be a mistake: beneath the big names there is a network of clubs with carefully curated lineups, where tomorrow's international bands and the best of the Italian indie scene play.

Big names rotate between Mediolanum Forum (Assago), Teatro degli Arcimboldi (songwriter pop and musicals) and, in summer, stadium tours at San Siro and festivals at Ippodromo Snai San Siro. One step below are Alcatraz and Fabrique, the city's large clubs. But the heart of the scene beats in 300-800 capacity clubs: Santeria Toscana 31 (Porta Romana), Legend Club, Biko, Serraglio, Magazzini Generali. For jazz there is the Blue Note in Isola, for electronic music Amnesia, Tempio del Futuro Perduto and Volt.

How to read the lineup

This page collects concerts scheduled today: Italian and international artists, genres from classical to techno, formats from solo piano to a DJ set for thousands. Every event is tagged with venue, start time and, when available, the minimum price.

Ticket links point directly to the official circuit (TicketOne, Dice.fm, Eventbrite, Vivaticket, Ticketmaster). When a concert is sold out we flag it with a badge: the link stays active because seats sometimes free up at the last minute, but know that the event is officially sold out.

Typical times and practical tips

Concerts in Milan start a bit earlier than in Rome, but don't expect Northern European timings. 8:30-9:00 PM is the typical doors-open time in clubs, 9:30-10:00 PM the actual start; at the Forum shows begin even earlier. In electronic clubs dancing starts after midnight. Allow at least 30 minutes for the queue at big venues and mind the transport: the M2 metro to Assago Forum runs its last trains right after the show, then it's taxis (Free Now, IT Taxi) or shared scooters.

If you're in for the first time, arrive before the headliner to see the support: in Milan opening acts are often rising international names that will fill the venue on their own within a year.

Before and after the concert

The Serata Perfetta generator is designed to solve exactly the "and now where do we eat?" part. Pick the concert neighborhood, set the budget, and get a restaurant and cocktail bar a few steps from the venue. For after-dinner, the city has speakeasies like 1930 or Backdoor43 open until late.
